Tamannaah Bhatia said, “I knew Vijay’s movie ‘Sura’ wouldn’t do well even when we were filming it”

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently spoke openly about her experiences with her former co-stars Vijay and Ajith. In a candid interview with a Tamil YouTube channel, she shared her early days in Tamil cinema. Tamannaah expressed her dislike for the 2010 film “Sura,” in which she starred alongside Vijay.

She mentioned that although “Sura” was a popular film, she felt there were some scenes that didn’t sit well with her. Despite the movie’s hit songs, she admitted feeling dissatisfied with her performance and wouldn’t want to repeat it. The film, directed by SP Rajkumar, received criticism for its exaggerated heroism.

Interestingly, Tamannaah revealed that she sensed the movie might not do well even while they were shooting it. She acknowledged that sometimes actors are aware of a film’s potential success or failure during production. However, she emphasized that filmmaking isn’t solely about success and failure; sometimes, commitments need to be honored to avoid affecting the lives of those involved in the project.

The conversation also touched on her movie “Veeram” with Ajith Kumar, particularly his salt-and-pepper look, which divided fans’ opinions. Tamannaah mentioned that back then, she didn’t have the freedom to offer inputs to the director about changing Ajith’s appearance. However, she now values the power for actresses to have a say in their roles and appreciates directors who collaborate with their actors.

On the professional front, Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film “Jailer” is set to release on August 10. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie features Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, and Vinayakan in significant roles.
