Sundararaman Ramamurthy is now the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BSE, the leading stock exchange.
BSE stated in a regulatory filing that Sebi, the markets regulator, had approved Ramamurthy’s appointment as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
The exchange announced Wednesday that Sundararaman Ramamurthy had taken over as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BSE. It stated that the appointment is contingent on Ramamurthy’s acceptance and compliance with terms and conditions. After Ashishkumar Chauhan, the former MD and CEO of BSE, resigned in July 2022. He moved to NSE.
Ramamurthy was previously the NSE’s senior member since its inception. After serving in this capacity, Ramamurthy was promoted to the post of MD and Chief Operating officer at Bank of America’s Indian branch.
